The Eighth Annual Eric Brosterhous Memorial Masters Pool
Eric was a friend to all and connected with many of us over a variety of interests. He loved The Masters and ran a pool among friends for many years. In 2018, he was lucky enough to attend the tournament in person and delegated the administration of his pool to a poor sap stuck back in Portland. As many of you know, 2018 would be the last Masters of his lifetime.
One of many ways that we'll keep his memory alive is to continue his Masters pool for those of us who knew him as well as introducing him to those who weren't lucky enough to become his friend.
THE RULES:
If you wish, add additional funds to your entry fee and they will be forwarded to the Eric J. Brosterhous Cancer foundation (along with "Eric's Cut": 32% of the total pot)
< ERIC'S MASTERS POOL * 2026 entry form >
Venmo $32 to: @Jeff-Albright-97223 (last four digits of phone number: 8977)
PRIZE PAYOUT (SUBJECT TO CHANGE; DEPENDANT ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES):
WHY IS THE ENTRY FEE $32? WHY IS 32% GOING TO ERIC'S FOUNDATION?
We lost Eric when he was 32 years old. When you hit "send" on your app, hopefully the number resonates and you think about how we lost a great guy too damned soon. We'd like to think the money will make an impact on someone else's life down the road. Regardless, this is one of many ways we'll remember Eric. Talk trash to your friends over their lousy selections, enjoy the Masters and be honored if you got the chance to meet him. If you're lucky enough to win, buy yourself something nice to remember the victory.
